On my blog, you will see lots of creative design of furniture and office furniture. So, people who are keen on creative furniture will interested in my blog. In addition, people who likes to design his own home can learn some DIY skills from my blog. Iris as a famous DIY designer will teach lots of DIY skills here. Last one, office furniture as a important part on my blog, I provide many websites and office furniture products information. Our office furniture is a famous brand in China market. "LongLi" has been cooperated with the foreign furniture company and export our products to more than 10 countries. It includes: American, Russia, and some Middle East countries. Our company is about 20 years history, and nowadays our products includes almost all the field. I am so interested in this multi-bookcase. Because it looks very difference with the traditional bookcase. To some extend, when we use this bookcase, it will add interesting  for reading books. Another one is that the user can move is very easily. If you want to move house, you can install it fast and easy. Tembolat Gugkaev is a Russian designer, which i think he is a high level designer in the world . Working with plants and enterprises around the world, he won fame in the design industry. His works very hard on designing creative furniture, so nowadays he have already got many  fans in many countries in Europe, America and Asia.

This furniture was designed by Tembolat Gugkaev in 2008. One of the advantages of this bookcase is that reader can get the books easily. When we finish reading, we also can put it back easily. I think the lazy people may like it very much....Tembolat Gugkaev was born in North Ossetia-Alania, learn many creative professionals, has long worked as a jeweller in the world-famous jewelry company. He currently lives and works in New york.

This one was also designed by Tembolat Gugkaev. Do you know why he use seven colours? It is because that one day he saw the rainbow and got the inspiration. There are 21 drawer in this bookcase. Therefore, people can put many different kinds of things in it. Because there are so many drawers, in order to recognize it. People also can put a label inside. With this design, he won a big rewards in 2009.

                     My answer is colour. Here we can see a colour room, which is decorated by my father's good friend Iris. Iris is a furniture businessman, and he is keen on designing his room in different styles. She told me that a wonderful life can not live without colour. The picture showed here is the view of his room, and it is her DIY product.

               

                     Iris taught me how to make a DIY design for your own room. The following details are some suggestions and skills for how to do it.

 •Firstly, Inject some fresh element and bright colours in your room. For example: Yellows, pinks, purples and oranges are all fresh and fashionable colours that your room will looks very bright and make people feel comfortable.

 •Secondly,  Used the striped sofas and dotted carpet can bring some fun into your home.

 •Thirdly, Consider the wallpaper. Iris thought that wallpaper is the most important link in decorated your room. Because that wallpaper occupy the majority of space in our room, therefore, when we choice what colour we used in our room looks very important. Iris suggest that we'd better not use the black, because black is dark, sometimes it makes people feel unhappy. The best colour is what your like best, and blue is a nice choice.

When the first time i see this chair, it makes me feel amazing. I have never see such a unique chair. The  Chair design is great for people who love reading, while helping you to save space too. Also, to put a label on each box, it will help us to classify our reading materials. According to the estimate, we can put more than one hundred books on this chair.  If this chair can use in library, too much space will saved.

In fact, I think this chair is suit for lazy people...With this chair, books are always just an arm’s length away. So it is very convenient for our study.  And if you want, there’s a design with a foot rest too…With this two chair, reading should be a relax entertainment. I really want to my university to purchase this chair in our school library. I think our students must like it very much.

                    I found this crazy design on IKEA Hackers . This chair is designed from a bicycle. I think it is really a creative idea...

                   According to my research, at the beginning when the designer want to make this chair, lots of people don't support him. Because they think if people sit down on this chair, maybe they will feel uncomfortable. But jemmy still keep on working it.

                    After all, a saddle is not the most comfortable seating unit in the world. However, according to some people who experienced the chair, it is as smooth as it gets. At last, this chair accepted by lots of customers. In my own view, this chair is not only to sit down, also the unique design can absorb lots of people 's attention if we put it into a public place.

Furniture in History

                      Hi, Welcome to the Furniture Style's introduction and pictures in the history, and I will talk the development of furniture in different periods and eras around the world. As we all known, furniture has a close relationship with human life. Since thousands yeares ago, furnirue had been appeared in our daily life, until early 16th century,  morden styles furniture come to our life. So, furniture histiry should a long history. The development of furniture not only go by many times innovation, nowadays, also I think furniture has been a art in our life.

Function and Definition

The American  Dictionary defines "furniture" as "movable articles in a room, that it fit for living or working". It's basic uses are:

• storage;
• sitting or reclining;
• to provide platform for writing, eating and so on.

In the majority of design styles for furniture from chairs to sofas to desks, however, since ancient times to modern society, furniture design and making has been an expression of culture and civilisation, and furniture shows people  how we view the world and why do we design it.

Furniture is all around our life,  and the real meaning of furniture in different periods will show the different life style of local people. In fact, in my opinion, furniture likes a mirror. It can reflect our life level and make our life become wonderful. Next, I will show some examples about how the culture influence the furniture style in different countries.

The European & American Traditions

American style

European furniture design styles and North American furniture styles generally follow the main divisions in European and American culture, and their furniture all design form their history. People can feel a romantic atmosphere when you use the European style furniture. Therefore, the style of furniture has a close relation with the local culture, in another world, the different cultures will make different styles of furniture. Especially in European countries,

European style

as we all known the Europe has a long history. Long long ago, war was often broke out in people's life. Because lacking of the materials to make a weapon. So, In that time, people got no weapon. In stead of the weapon, people use their furniture as a weapon. Therefore, furniture can be very sharp and very dangerous in the past. But with technology development, people got more styles of materials. So, in our daily life, this kind of furniture has been disappeared.


                                                                                                 

Chinese & Japanese

The development of traditional Chinese furniture went from the simple to the intricate, and was closely linked to the Chinese lifestyle and cultural and economic changes in China.In early ancient, most of Chinese people sat on straw mats on the floor. After the Warring States period, beds and couches began to come into widely use as seating. After few years later, Western-style chairs, folding stools, and other seating gradually entered China. From this point on, Chinese everyday living began to be conducted from chairs rather than sitting cross-legged on the floor. Straw mats came to be used as coverings for beds and couches.

1.  As in traditional Chinese architecture, wood is the major material used in the manufacture of furniture. This was in response both to needs arising from Chinese lifestyles, and to China's rich forest resources.
2. Bamboo and rattan furniture also have a long history. Bamboo is a product unique to Asia, and is an especially developed industry in Taiwan. Simple  techniques are used to make clever and useful products. Bamboo may be used in combination with other materials, such as wood, rattan, metal, and ceramic tile, in endless variation. Much bamboo and rattan furniture is exported to Europe and the United States, where it enjoys great popularity. 

Chinese style

                    This video was taken in Australian in 2011 and it was really a successful video.Why it is successful? This video has won a good reputation among Ikea's customers. Through the video just display one minutes, in fact it show us lots of information.

                   If you watch it carefully, you can find that how Ikea to do a advertising for their products and how they are going to attract customer's attention. As an experienced furniture company, Ikea can target their market and audiences exactly.

  

•  In this video,  We can see that it was  taken in Australian. At the beginning, people are appeared in a original forest. Ikea use this details and show us that their products are natural and the materials they used all are from the forest; they are healthy.  

• In order to make this video, they hired more than thousands of public actors and many Ikea furniture were used in this video. In addition, Ikea chief designer went to Australian and directed this video.

• Last one is the important element in this video. "Happiness" is the main purport of this video. As we known, in our daily life, our biggest enemy is boring. Ikea advertising use their own products and to show their customers how do they defeat boring. Ikea let their furniture become the happiness element in our family.

 

                     

                             This video had won five big awards last years. I think it all depend on Ikea's unique design and they got a close relationship with their customers. In another word, what they are sell is not the products, it is the design.

                   This video is about Ikea creative advertising. During this video designer use a short story tell us that furniture can make our life better and make our family feel happy.

                  Just like most other brands, Ikea sees TV as an important medium for developing a relationship with audiences. So, Ikea's advertising on TV always bring happiness to every family. Scoot, who is a famous Ikea designer said that furniture is necessary things in our life, for example: like happiness. Everyone need happiness, and everyone want a happy life. In addition, when we design a new advertising, we would put furniture and happiness together. Because we thought that in family, "furniture is happiness, happiness is furniture". That is why each Ikea advertising also can bring amazing and happiness to our life.

                  I have watch lots of video about Ikea advertising. I found that the design idea of Ikea advertising also put the customer at first. All the things looks very close to our life.  Introduction:

This interview is about Iris, who is a famous furniture maker and designer, especially her skills in DIY room design. Iris has been work with furniture 15 years and she has won lots of design award in China. During the next interview, Iris will share her many years' working experience on furniture and explain her unique idea.

1. What are the advantages of being a maker and designer.?

2. What do you regard as your greatest success in your career?

3. How do think your team changed to keep up with new technologies?

4. Which part do you think is the most important of a furniture?

5. Why do you so keen on DIY furniture design and DIY design can bring what to your mind?

Answer:

1. As a Children, when I saw some beautiful furniture, I hope one day I can use the furniture which all are designed by myself. Through my experience as a maker and designer, I have an unique understanding of materials and processes. That can help me to build up confidence on solve any problem when I worked with furniture.

2.The most rewarding moments in my career so far should be a successful revolution of your father company's new products. After the 2008 finance crisis, many furniture companies are shocked by such a big crisis. But your father predict it before it happened, he asked me to improve our products and established the new furniture style into the market. Fortunately, the result is very good. Our products are satisfied with out new products. It is because that in China market only our company got the new products. So, your father lose a little in the finance crisis. That make me feel very Honor.

3.Recently, advanced computer skills have revolutionised the availability of information and consumer choice and manufacturing systems and design methods. However, the impact  has not fundamentally changed the work of designer-makers, simply It added new techniques when we are working. So, our team need to learn computer skills and apply the technology into our work.

4.Some people think materials come first. If you got a good and natural materials, customer will be happy. Because they can use it for a long time. In my opinion, design come first. A good furniture not only need a good materials, but also a unique design is the most important. Design ideas come from every details in our life. So, only a talent designer can catch it in our daily life.

5. Yeah, you know I got two little Children. Long time work overseas make me have few time to accompany with my family. I often decorate my room as a colour world, because my Children like it. At least, color can bring happiness to them. In fact DIY design is a hard work, but it certainly bring many good ideas to me.

6. Would you like to sell creative furniture design in your furniture shop?

Scott as a sales management, he accepted my interview, and he bring me to visit their furniture store in city centre. Scoott as a sale manager, he has work two years in London, and two years in Liverpool, and he moved to work in Preston 2011. Why he comes to Preston is because that his boss is his good friends, and he needs scoot's help. Later, I visit their shop. There furniture are really beautiful, and there are so much creative furniture design which are my interesting. Thanks for him to introduce their product. Their audiences are between age 30-40, and his boss said that they are happy to sell more creative furniture in their store, because many people want to buy it.

This interview was taken in city centre, and the Chinese guys name Jack. Jack comes from ShangHai, and he study master in Uclan. Three years life in Preston, Jack almost visit every furniture shop. According to our conversation, Jack told me that he often buy visit some furniture shop in city centre, because he like furniture. He want to buy some furniture in his new room. He accepted my interview and told me he was interested in creative furniture design. So I introduce my furniture blog to him, fortunately he like special furniture. Later, he will follow my furniture blog and gave me some suggestion and buy some thing from my blog.

Multi-functional table design

This table is designed by a famous Italy designer. I have booked one online! I want to introduce this table to you. The most advantage of the design of this table is that it save very large space for users.

 In addition, under the four chairs, there are four drawers, so we can put  some books or something very useful in it. Sometimes, if we do not want to use the chairs,of course, we can put the chairs under the table. 

Therefore, we can use it as a table. In my opinion, it is really very useful and convenience in our life.The design of this table is similar with the one before. But the design exit some difference When we look at the first picture, i think nobody know it is a table...But in fact, it is really a table. When the chairs put together, we can use is as a adornment in our home, of course we can put the flower on it.
